Hydrova (“Hydrova,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a direct-to-consumer filtered showerhead brand based in Ontario, Canada. We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information transparently and responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to hydrova.com, our checkout, our customer support channels, and any other Hydrova service that links to it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number
- Order details, subscription preferences, and customer support correspondence
- Account credentials, if you create an account
- Payment information - credit/debit card numbers and billing details are collected and processed by our PCI-compliant payment processors (e.g. Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal). We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
Information we collect automatically
- Device, browser, operating system, and IP address
- Pages visited, products viewed, referring/exit pages, and time on site
- Approximate location derived from IP address
- Information collected via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see below)
How we use information
- Process and fulfill orders, including shipping, returns, and warranty service
- Manage subscriptions and send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, renewals)
- Provide customer support and respond to your questions
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud or abuse

International transfers
Hydrova is based in Ontario, Canada, and we ship to Canada, the United States, and international destinations. Your information may be stored or processed in Canada, the United States, the European Union, or other countries where we or our service providers operate. We use contractual and technical safeguards to protect your information when it is transferred across borders.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our products and services, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
Canada (PIPEDA) rights
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws, you may request access to, correction of, or information about the personal information we hold about you. Our legal bases for processing include performance of a contract (fulfilling your order), legitimate interests (running and improving our business), consent (for marketing and certain cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.
California (CCPA/CPRA) rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete that information, to correct inaccurate information, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and vetted service providers. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
Children’s privacy
Hydrova is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated through the site or by email where appropriate.
